The WOW Agenda
The purpose of Women Organizing Women (WOW) is to promote feminist awareness and community activism on the LSU campus. WOW works closely with the LSU Women’s Center in planning educational programs and social gatherings to facilitate students of all backgrounds to get involved with women and gender issues. WOW is open to all students seeking enlightenment, involvement, and it’s a great way to meet fellow activists!
Goals for WOW
· Create a safe space where women and men can gather and discuss feminism and women and gender related issues.
· Educate the LSU community about feminism and engage students in conversation to debunk myths about feminists.
· Attempt to make an impact on LSU campus by any means necessary: write letters to the editor; contact Tiger Weekly, the Reveille, and the Advocate about covering WOW/Women’s Center events; infiltrate other LSU media and represent feminism in a positive way.
· Organize events to spread our feminist voice on campus.
